This Thanksgiving season, Mountaineer Country is offering events for people of all ages to celebrate the holiday. Visit a crafts fairs and get your holiday shopping done early. Find local feasts full of fall flavors and Appalachian pride. With events happening almost every day, there’s so much to be thankful for in Mountaineer Country!
All Thanksgiving Events
Don’t wait for your favorite fall foods! Attend the 3rd Annual Venerable Bean Bakery’s Fall Feast hosted by Mountain People’s Co-Op Market & Cafe on Saturday, November 9 at 6 p.m. Enjoy seven courses of comfort food at its finest!
Save room for seconds! Head out to Reedsville for the November Cozy Dinner hosted by Modern Homestead at Tathams on November 15 and November 16 at 5 p.m. With each dish thoughtfully prepared with seasonal ingredients, you’ll feel at home in Appalachia in each bite. Reservations are required, so please call ahead!
Too much turkey? Begin your Thanksgiving morning with the Morgantown Running 5k Turkey Trot at the WVU Track. Races start at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 28. Each participant will receive a pair of socks for taking part in the event.

Can’t bring the kids shopping with you on Black Friday? Drop them off at the Valley Ridge Farms Black Friday Camp for Kids, happening November 29, at 9 a.m. They’ll spend their day at the barn while you can do your secret shopping!
Support your local community on Small Business Saturday, November 30 in Downtown Morgantown. While you shop, enjoy free parking, photos with Santa, and the opportunity to win one of four downtown gift baskets.

Morgantown Marriott at Waterfront Place
Bourbon Prime at the Morgantown Marriott at Waterfront Place is holding their Thanksgiving dinner on Thanksgiving Day from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. They will have their carving station with herb-roasted turkey and salt-crusted prime rib, with savory entrees and plenty of delicious desserts of pumpkin pie, apple pie tarts, cheesecake, and much more! Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are recommended.
The Clubhouse Grill at the Pines
The Clubhouse Grill at the Pines is holding a Thanksgiving Day Harvest Buffet from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The buffet features hand-carved turkey, ham and prime rib. Learn more about the buffet here and make sure to call ahead for reservations. Price is $27.95 for adults and $12.95 for kids ages 4-10. Children under age 4 eat free.
Atria’s will hold a three-course Thanksgiving dinner, including a soup or salad, turkey or ham, and pumpkin or dutch apple pie for dessert. Reservations are encouraged, so call today! Event information and pricing coming soon.
Preston County Inn
If you’re craving everything from the traditional turkey and gravy, to butternut squash soup, assorted seasonal salads, fresh-baked bread and pies, head to Preston County Inn for a complete dinner buffet, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Thanksgiving Day.
