Taylor County Monster Hunt

October 18, 2021 at 12:00 pm

Ends: November 1, 2021

This fall, we’re inviting you to learn more about the monster tales of West Virginia – the mysterious creatures involved are known as cryptids. We’re doing this by offering a community-wide scavenger hunt that we’re calling the “Taylor County Monster Hunt” and through a coloring contest!

The fun begins Oct. 18 at noon and runs until Nov. 1 at 4:30 p.m. Youth and adults can use clues of WV monster legends and local history to find these cryptids hidden throughout Taylor County. Youth under 18 who find 15 monsters can win a Taylor County Monster Hunt t-shirt and special commissioned collector monster pins.
