Putting up the Christmas tree, hanging the lights, and visiting Santa…one thing is for sure, Christmas is here!
Whether or not you’ve started decorating or your kids have made their wish lists, it’s never too early to get in the spirit and start planning your must-do events.
If you’re a local or just visiting Mountaineer Country, there is plenty to do this holiday season. From parades, plays, and numerous activities, there is always something to do when you’re here for the holidays.

Holiday Performances
- ELF The Musical Jr.ย Don’t miss Morgantown Theatre Company’s take on this Christmas favorite from December 13 through 15.
- The Nutcracker: Morgantown Dance Company presents The Nutcracker, Join Clara on her journey at the Metropolitan on December 7 and 8.
- A Charlie Brown Christmas: Enjoy a holiday classic at the Met on December 16.
Holiday Events
- Cookies and Cocoa with Santa at the Erickson Alumni Center: tickets are $10 and include seasonal activities and a free photo with Santa!
- Breakfast with the Grinch: Enjoy brunch with a special seasonal menu prepared by Tutto Gelato with the Grinch who stole Christmas!
- Downtown Dash: Explore local businesses, discover artisan gifts and participate in an exciting citywide scavenger hunt for a chance to win. Head to downtown Morgantown for a holiday shopping wonderland on December 14!
- Run Santa Run 5k: Runners and walkers are invited to participate in Christmas fun run on December 15 at 9 a.m.. Proceeds support the Rosenbaum Family House funds in offering a comforting place for patients and their families during medical journeys
- Jump With Santa: Experience Christmas with Launch Pad December 21. Children of all ages can jump with Santa, take pictures in Christmas photo booth, eat cookies and make holiday crafts!
