The Ice Arena is currently under renovation and tentatively scheduled to re-open mid-October 2025.
Morgantown Ice Arena: Late August – March 1st, (Hockey and Public Skating). Morgantown Sports Arena: April – Mid August, (Basketball, Volleyball, Lacrosse)
Public Session Schedule
This schedule maybe adjusted for holiday weeks. Any adjustments will be posted on their website. Public sessions are open skates and are available to everyone!

Family Day Prices
Sunday is Family Day at the Ice Arena. A family of up to four can enjoy an afternoon of skating for only $10 (without skate rental) and $20 (with skate rental). Add additional family members for only $2
Along with skating during the week, they also offer pre-school sessions, and hockey, and open time for individuals to practice their figure skating skills. Visit the Morgantown Ice Arena while they’re still in season!
ADDITIONAL ICE ACTIVITIES
COFFEE CLUB:
Early morning adult pick-up hockey. Two goalies play for FREE each day. Locker rooms are available for use. $6 per person.
ADULT PICK-UP HOCKEY:
Sunday pick up hockey. Open to all. 2 goalies play FREE each session. Locker rooms are available for use. $6 per person.
FREESTYLE:
Freestyle skate is a time for figure skaters to practice their skills. This time is open to the public, but general figure skating experience is required unless you are taking a lesson. ​$10 per person.

TOTSICLES:
Totsicles provides a 45-minute self-paced orientation to movement on ice for pre-schoolers with a supervising adult. Whether it’s playing in the large pile of snow, shooting a hockey puck into the net, riding around on a sled or testing out the ice for the first time, Totsicles is the perfect introduction to ice skating and ice play for young children. Helmets are required! Participants may wear shoes or skates onto the ice. ​Totsicles is designed for children ages 5 and under. To maintain a safe environment, school-aged children are not permitted to participate. A parent/guardian 18 years of age or older must remain on the ice with children at all times.
Due to safety, parents are not permitted to “baby-wear” on the ice.
WEATHER POLICY: If Monongalia County Schools are on a two-hour delay or closed, Totsicles is cancelled.

MCC offers curling sessions to all levels of experience. Dates and times vary, so please visit their website to keep up with the latest opportunities.
