Gibbie’s Pub & Eatery
Gibbie’s Pub & Eatery is a local pub with a unique blend of history. Gibbie’s was built in 1911, and for over half a century it flourished alongside the Metropolitan Theatre, built in the 1930s and operated by the Comuntzis Family. The theatre’s stage hosted celebrities such as Helen Hayes, Mickey Rooney, Bob Hope, Harry Houdini, and Morgantown’s own Don Knotts.
Since opening its doors in August 1987, Gibbie’s has transformed the former confectionary and diner into a warm and inviting restaurant, filled with Morgantown nostalgia. Today, it stands as a beloved local meeting place, offering a comfortable atmosphere, delicious food, friendly service, and the largest draught beer selection in the area with 46 taps. Enjoy beers and spirits from around the world in this uniquely historic pub.
