Hall of Traditions

Hall of Traditions

The Hall of Traditions, located at the front of the Milan Puskar Center, offers fans an immersive experience into the storied history of West Virginia University football. This accessible space features interactive video displays and exhibits that highlight various aspects of Mountaineer gridiron history, providing a comprehensive look at the program’s legacy. Open to the public on most weekdays and home football games, the Hall of Traditions serves as a testament to the pride and passion of WVU football.

The Pride of West Virginia

The Pride of West Virginia is one of the nation’s best bands. Get to your seat early. The drumline leads things with a dance number called the “Boogie” cadence. Then, the rest of the 340 (yes– 340!) members rush in. The Pride of West Virginia dons capes and executes some of the country’s most intricate and engaging routines.

After every home win, WVU players and fans link arm-in-arm to sing to a recording of John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads.” A USA Today article listed this as one of the 10 best traditions in college football.

Big East Champs

The Mountaineers have won or shared 15 conference championships, including eight Southern Conference titles and seven Big East Conference titles.
