Easter Events and Activities for Kids

Spring is in the air, which can only mean one thing: Easter is right around the corner. We have rounded up some of our favorite events and activities to get you (and your kiddos) in the Easter spirit!

2026 Events

  • March 28 Story Painting: The Good Egg: Children of all ages are invited to hop on over to the WOW! Factory for an Easter-themed story painting event at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 28. Participation costs $12 per child.
  • March 28 Camp Muffly Easter Egg Hunt: Join Camp Muffly for an Easter festival starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 28. The festival will feature activities, candy, photos with the Easter Bunny and an egg hunt that kicks off at 1 p.m. The event is free to the public.
  • March 28 WV BlackBears Easter Egg Hunt: The West Virginia Black Bears are hosting their 5th annual Easter Egg Hunt from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, at Kendrick Family Ballpark. The event will feature a photo booth, giveaways, candy and an egg hunt for children aged three to 10. Children between the ages of three and six start at 10 a.m., and children between the ages of seven and 10 start at noon. The event is free to the public. Attendees are asked to register in advance on the West Virginia Black Bears website.
  • March 28 Champion Training Academy’s Easter Egg-Stravaganza: Join the Champion Training Academy for an Easter Egg‑Stravaganza from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 28. The free event will feature spring activities for kids of all ages, such as egg hunts, games, crafts, and photos with the Easter Bunny.
  • March 28 Spring Fling and Bike Giveaway: Hop on over to the Morgantown Elks and WeBike WV’s Spring Fling Festival from 10 a.m.to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, at Morgantown Elks Lodge #411. The festival will feature a free bike giveaway and sale, games and information from area nonprofits. The event is free to the public.
  • March 29, April 1 and April 3 Pysanky DIY Party: Join Hoot and Howl for a Pysanky DIY Party from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 29, and 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, and Friday, April 3. Participants will learn the art of creating a wax-resist egg with traditional tools and dyes. Registration costs $45 and can be made by emailing @shopthootandhowl.com.
  • March 31 Story Painting: How to Catch the Easter Bunny: The WOW! Factory is hosting an Easter-themed story painting event at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 31, titled “How to Catch the Easter Bunny” and open to children of all ages. Participation costs $12 per child.
  • April 3 and 4 Cottontail Express: Enjoy a three-hour themed train ride from Elkins to the Easter Bunny Trail at Belington City Park on the Cottontail Express at 11 a.m. on April 3 and 4. Upon arrival in Belington, patrons will be met with a springtime celebration featuring vendors, activities and an appearance from the Easter Bunny. Ticket prices vary. All children will receive cookies,  juice and a special gift included in the ticket price.
  • April 4 Spring Fling Artisan Market and Egg Hunt: Join Arthurdale Heritage for a Spring Fling Artisan Market from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 4. The market will feature artisan vendors, live music, food trucks and more, alongside kid-friendly Easter events. The event is free to the public.
  • April 4 Easter at the Barn: Hearts and Hooves in Motion is hosting Easter at the Barn from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, at 434 Dinkenberger Road in Kingwood, West Virginia. The free celebration will feature free pony rides, activities, refreshments, a photo booth, horse encounters, and egg hunts.
  • April 5 Easter Brunch with the Easter Bunny at the Hilton Garden Inn Morgantown: The Hilton Garden Inn Morgantown is inviting families to celebrate Easter with a buffet brunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 5. Prices range from $14.95 for kids 12 and under to $24.95 for adults. Reservations can be made by calling 304-225-9500.
