WVU Men’s Basketball Launches 2015 Season

The Mountaineers face off against the Glenville State Pioneers on Friday, Nov. 6.

Fresh off their winning season in 2014-15, Coach Bob Huggins and the West Virginia University Mountaineers 2015-16 basketball team is set to kick-off with an exhibition game on Friday, Nov. 6, as the Mountaineers will square off against the Glenville State Pioneers at 7 p.m. in Morgantown at the WVU Coliseum.

Tickets for the season opener are now on sale through WVUGame.com. A live stream of the game will be available to watch through WVUSports.com. The day of the game also marks the next to last day of WVU Mountaineer Week 2015. For a list of the Mountaineer Week events for Friday, Nov. 6, click HERE.

Following the exhibition game, the Mountaineers will play the Northern Kentucky Norse in the next week, Friday, Nov. 13. This game, much like the first, is set for 7 p.m. and will air through W.Va. Media.

Their first set of nationally televised home games begin Friday, Nov. 20 against the Stetson University Hatters at 7 p.m. This game is part of the Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational, and will air on ROOT SPORTS.

The second game of the invitational will take place on the following Monday, Nov. 23 at 7 p.m. against the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats. This game is expected to air on ROOT SPORTS.

The Mountaineers first Big 12 Conference games will begin January 2016.
