Adventure WV Zip Line Tour

The Adventure Zip Canopy Tour is comprised of 4 ziplines, an aerial bridge, and aerial ladder and a rappel station to exit the course. Each zip or leg of the course ranges in length from the 201’ starting zip, to the 980’ zip at the conclusion of the course. Participants will rappel 45’ from the final platform to the ground. After exiting the course, participants will hike from the base of the final tree back to the equipment shed on an interpretive nature trail (approximately 10 mins on a moderate trail).

Buckwheat Festival

The 77th Annual Preston County Buckwheat Festival “A Bag Full of Memories” kicks off Thursday, September 27 and continues until Sunday, September 30.  Locals and out-of-town guests travel to Kingwood each year for a fun-filled weekend of community tradition and endless Buckwheat cakes. The weekend offers something for the entire family to enjoy, such as carnival rides, livestock competitions, arts and crafts, car shows, fireworks, and more!

Arts Walk

Take a stroll through businesses in downtown Morgantown on Friday, September 28 from 6-9:00 p.m., and see artwork from local artisans where there is a tiki torch lit. You can find their artwork at Arts Monongahela and Morgantown Arts Center. Enjoy music and live entertainment throughout Downtown Morgantown as your shopping! Plus, select businesses will be participating in specials during the event, so come ready to shop!

Homerun and Hops Craft Beer Festival 

For all beer lovers 21 and over, head out to the Monongalia County Ballpark, home of the West Virginia Black Bears, for the annual Homerun and Hops Craft Beer Festival on Saturday, September 29 from 12:00-6:00 p.m. With more than 50 brews to sample, food vendors, a cornhole tournament, and live entertainment by local bands, Weary Space Wanderer and Rock Bass, it’s the perfect fall afternoon to hang out with friends within the outfield walls!
