Zeke’s Breakfast & Bakes
In the heart of downtown Morgantown, this energetic café features a daily array of freshly-made breakfasts and coffee available until 3 pm every day. Nothing fancy, just great food.
In 1975 the federal government chose Morgantown as an experimental site for the driverless mass transit system that connects the University’s campuses. Approximately 65% is built on elevated bridges and viaducts; the cars are powered by environmentally friendly electric motors and travel up to 30 mph.
Hovatter’s Wildlife Zoo
What started as a small collection of deer, black bears, cougars and tigers has turned into a menagerie of chimpanzees, grizzlies, tigers, leopards, lemurs and baboons. Don’t miss feeding the giraffes.
You’ll savor every bite of these made-from-scratch gourmet delights. They’re thick, fudgy, and cakey; best of all, you can buy a bag of brownie edges to take home.
Tygart Lake State Park
This is where family fun was invented. Plan a full day to rent boats and kayaks, take the lake cruise, and cool off on the 25 giant inflatables in Tygart Adventure Lake.
