West Virginia School Of Dentistry Gives Back
Walk or Run To Support Survivors Of Domestic Violence
The West Virginia University (WVU) School of Dentistry is hosting the 5th annual 5k run/walk benefiting the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Charitable Foundation’s “Give Back A Smile” (GBAS) program.
GBAS assists in rebuilding the lives and dignity of survivors of domestic violence through compassionate cosmetic dentistry in the smile-zone. The program is provided at no cost to the qualified survivors through a nationwide network of volunteer cosmetic dentists and a support team of laboratories and dental manufacturers.
The race will begin on Saturday, October 24 at the WVU Law School parking lot. The route will continue down law school hill, past the WVU President’s house into the engineering campus. Through engineering, it will wrap around the student rec center, past the Erickson Alumni Center and Ruby Memorial Hospital/Milan Puskar Stadium, finishing strong back up law school hill.
Registration and pack/bib pick up will be from 7:45-8:30 a.m. The race will begin at 9 a.m. Registration after October 9 does not guarantee a T-shirt due to the limited supply. Register online today.
Registration prior to October 3 is $25 per walker/runner. October 4 – October 23 is $30 and day of event registration is $35.
Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers overall. Door prizes will also be distributed.
