2020 Veterans Day Events in Mountaineer Country
Honoring Those Who Served Our Country
Honor the veteran in your life along with other veterans who have served our country this Veteran’s Day, on Wednesday, November 11. Here in Mountaineer Country, we are grateful for those who fought for our freedom and want to show appreciation. Take a look at the following events that Mountaineer Country has to offer and help us celebrate!
Join Triple S Harley-Davidson on Sunday, November 1 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm for the Sunday Funday: Salute to Our Veterans. Free lunch for all veterans! Lunch is available for a $5 donations for all other non-veterans. All event proceeds benefit Operation Welcome Home – an organization helping local veterans as they re-enter civilian life.
Take the family to Rowlesburg, to the Szilagyi Center (old high school), where you can explore the Greatest Generation World War II Museum.
Grab a bite to eat at the veteran-owned and operated restaurant and bar, Mountain Mama’s! They have a large menu of food and drinks, and a variety of homemade wing sauces. Make sure to ask about their daily veteran discounts!
Craftbeer lovers will want to make the trip out to Terra Alta to visit High Ground Brewing. This veteran-owned brewery features a taproom that is open to the public, pet-friendly, and hosts live music events every week.
Swing by Eat’n Park on Patteson Drive the entire month of November for 10% off for all veterans and their families.
Mountaineer Country also has many restaurants and stores offering discounts and free meals for veterans on Veterans Day. Make sure to have your military identification in order to take part in the deals.
