We are a group of Beekeepers dedicated to teaching beginning or new Beekeepers locally within the Harrison County WV area.
MISSION STATEMENT
We strive to introduce new people to the art of Beekeeping through formal education of various levels and practical, hands-on applications. We promote continuing education by encouraging new Beekeepers to participate in a master Beekeeping Program. We direct our members to adopt and apply safe Beekeeping practices by promoting the West Virginia Immunity Law and Honeybee Best Management Practices.
VISION STATEMENT
In our vision, Harrison County Beekeepers will be well-informed, skilled Beekeepers who work to promote a prosperous Beekeeping industry locally as well as generate a widespread appreciation for honey and the critical role that Honeybees play in agriculture and our ecosystem; enabling and educating children and adults alike to Beekeeping Best Practices to ensure the art for future generations. Our members will maintain a primary focus on Pollinators, and education on native plants, gardening, and chemical-free lawn and garden maintenance.
