Although the season may be underway for the West Virginia Black Bears, there are still a few games left for you to attend this weekend. Attend Saturday’s game, September 1, against the Mahoning Valley Scrappers.
Cheer on the WVU Women’s Soccer team at 3:00 p.m. at the Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium as they take on Georgetown on Sunday, September 2!
Stroll to Downtown Morgantown on Sunday morning, between 10a.m. and 4p.m., to the Morgantown Market Place Pavilion for The Handcrafted Cooperative which is a handmade, antique and vintage market. It’s free admission and a fun way to interact with local artists and support small business in our community.
Rowlesburg’s Annual Weekend Celebration and Ox Roast kicks off on Friday, August 30 with the Fireman’s parade and the Ox Roast and firework show will be on Monday, September 3. Throughout the weekend, there will also be dinners, dances, horse and buggy rides, face painting and more. It’s an event the whole family can enjoy!
While you’re in town, take a moment to wine and dine with your family and friends at a local restaurant or bar. With a wide selection scattered throughout Greater Morgantown, there’s something to fit everyone’s craving.
If you enjoy the outdoors and love scenic views, take a drive to one of Greater Morgantown’s parks and hike the trail or even bird watch. You never know what you may see at one of these parks!
Mountaineer football is here! The first game is away against the Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday, September 1. Saturday also happens to be National Tailgating Day! Set up a watch party with a tailgate at your house, or stop in a local restaurant or bar and cheer on the Mountaineers. The first home game is next Saturday, September 8 versus Youngstown State, so make sure you’re ready to yell, “Let’s Go, Mountaineers!”
Enjoy the Labor Day Anniversary Bash at Triple S Harley-Davidson on Monday, September 2. This event is free! Ride out and enjoy their 17th Anniversary with Dee Snider and special guest Killcode.
