Superhero Science Day

August 24, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.

$5

Visitors will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of hands-on science activities inspired by the Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Iron Man, and many others. Members of Spark! Imagination and Science Center receive free admission.

“Superhero science is a great way to make science more exciting to kids,” states Tiffany Martin, Education Coordinator of Spark! Imagination and Science Center. “By bringing superhero characters together with hands-on activities, children can enjoy learning science concepts in a fun and thrilling way.”

Superhero Science Day was funded through a grant made possible through a collaborative effort between YCF and Arts Mon, with funding from the City of Morgantown, the Monongalia County Commission and the Douglas H. Tanner Memorial Fund for the Arts.

Visitors to Spark can also explore hands-on exhibits during the event, including our new additions to our engineering exhibit and our brand new exhibit, The Sun, Earth, Universe, an engaging and interactive exhibition about Earth and space science for family audiences. Plus, dig for pretend dinosaur fossils, build a ball ramp, explore nanoscience, play dress up, and much more.

Spark! Imagination and Science Center is a 501 (c) 3, non-profit organization. Spark is located inside the Mountaineer Mall at 5000 Greenbag Road and is open Tuesday-Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm. For more information, call 304-292-4646 or visit the museum’s website at sparkwv.org.
