Morgantown Theatre Company: ELF The Musical Jr.

This modern-day holiday classic is sure to make you embrace your “inner elf.” Based on the cherished New Line Cinema hit, Elf JR. features songs by Tony Award-nominees, Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin, with a book by Tony Award-winners, Thomas Meehan and Bob Martin. MTC provides high-quality musical theatre to the community performed by local school-aged kids. The Morgantown community and our young actors have a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in a variety of theatre arts activities. Each semester, every MTC student “gets a part” with direct on-stage experience. Besides acting, singing and dancing, MTC students develop behind the scenes skills in set and prop design, lighting, sound effects, makeup, stage management, and even directing. These activities help build self-confidence, teamwork, responsibility, problem solving, communication, and leadership skills.
