Following the enchantment of the illumination of tens of thousands of lights and the community Christmas tree during the city’s annual Light Up Night slated for Friday, Dec. 3, the magic of the Christmas season will continue on Saturday, Dec. 4 as the community welcomes Santa and Mrs. Claus to Grafton during the annual Christmas Parade.

Lineup for the parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. near Grafton High School, and the Grafton Police Department will begin closing the route from the school down Yates, across the bridge on Beech Street, and then onto Main Street, at approximately 6:00 p.m. The annual event is set to kick off at 6:30 p.m.

While downtown, be sure to check out the beautiful display of lights on the International Mother’s Day Shrine grounds, including this year’s Christmas Tree. Stop by Toad Hall and take in the dazzling display of dancing lights on trees, as well as the city’s nativity scene.

Shops will be open to welcome guests, Gallery 62 West will be welcoming individuals to take in their tree display and so much more.

Those wishing to participate in this year’s Christmas Parade are asked to contact Chief Beltner by phone at 304-265-0101.
