West Virginia Gold Rush 2021
From Tuesday March 23-Saturday, April 3, West Virginia Division of Natural Resources (WVDNR) turns the rivers gold during the West Virginia Gold Rush.
During this week of special stockings, the WVDNR will release 50,000 golden rainbow trout at more than 61 lakes and streams around the state, including several state parks, which include Coopers Rock State Forest (Cheat River) and Tygart Lake Tailwaters. Gold Rush is a perfect opportunity to catch the treasured golden rainbow trout, introduce friends and family to sport fishing or enjoy a relaxing getaway.
During the event, enjoy contests, discounts to regional attractions, and more as you and your family go for gold while cherishing memories made in Mountaineer Country.
