Escape the Indoors and Get Back to Scouting

WHO: All boys and girls in grades K-5!

All kids must have adult supervision. Those in grades K – 1 must attend with a parent or guardian.

Current Cub Scouts are encouraged to attend and bring their non-Scout friends for a chance to win prizes! (see additional information below)

WHEN: Sunday, September 19, 2021; 2:00PM – 6:00PM

WHERE: Camp Mountaineer (187 Camp Mountaineer Road, Morgantown)

WHAT: A fun “Back to Scouting!” day for all of Mountaineer Area Council’s current and former Cub Scouts (and any new friends)! Enjoy some time on the 60′ climbing tower, at one of our shooting sports ranges, see if any fish are biting at the lake, have fun with some field games, learn to build a fire and other Scout skills or sit back and enjoy some Hershey’s ice cream on the Trading Post front porch. Maybe even build a boat to race in the Rain Gutter Regatta! NOTE: WEAR CLOSED TOE SHOES. NO SANDALS OR FLIP FLOPS.

CURRENT CUB SCOUTS: Either bring friend who may have stopped attending your Pack or Den meetings during the pandemic, or bring a brand new friend! Those Cub Scouts who bring a friend will be entered into a drawing to win several prizes including: t-shirts, cinch bags, and camping gear!

COST: This “Back to Scouting!” day is FREE!

COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS: Although most of the event will be outside, masks and distancing will be encouraged for all participants. Masks will be required for inside activities and the Trading Post. Any additional updates will be posted here.
