Celebrate WV at McGrew House
FREE
Come “Celebrate WV” at the McGrew House, home of WV Founder James C. McGrew in Kingwood on Saturday, June 15, from 10 am till 2 pm. The House will be open for guests to tour and take in various McGrew family and local history displays. They can also take a walking tour around the grounds to see the 5 WV State Champions and other rare and exotic trees, using the McGrew Arbor map and tree signs.
Children’s activities are planned, too, including crafts, face painting, and balloon animals. Free WV birthday cookies will be available to all who stop by that day.
Admission to the House and all exhibits is free. The Gift Shoppe will offer WV flags at half-price that day and special purchases on local histories—James C. McGrew: Statesman and Servant, The Persis Memoir, and Bill Williams’ Kingwood: Indians Plus 150 Years.
