Experience a weekend of world-class piano performances, recitals and masterclasses at the 10th WV International Piano Competition and Festival at the WVU Creative Arts Center, March 27-29, 2020.

Twenty-four pianists from five different countries (US, China, Russia, Italy and Israel) will be competing for $10,000 in prize awards and concert engagements. This year, your attendance and vote can make a difference to two competitors—an Audience Prize of $200 in additional prize money will be awarded to a participant in each division based on the audience’s votes.

Each member of the internationally-renowned jury panel will participate in public events during the competition. Spencer Myer (Winner of the 2008 New Orleans International Piano Competition; Longy School of Music of Bard College), will perform a guest artist recital on Friday, March 27 at 8 p.m. in Bloch Hall.

Masterclasses by Yoheved Kaplinsky (The Juilliard School) and Robert Shannon (Oberlin Conservatory) will be held on Sunday, March 29 from 12 – 3 p.m. in Bloch Hall.
