The Seasons of Appalachia Mural

The Seasons of Appalachia mural consists of 4- 4′ x 8′ panels of hand-cut glass depicting the seasons of West Virginia. All of the glass was made and hand-selected at Wissmach Glass Company in Paden City, WV. Though the mural represents the four seasons, the imagery is of one continuous landscape. The mural has representation of many of our state symbols and animals; including monarch butterflies, cardinals, a black bear, and rhododendrons. This mural was done by artist Sarah Billotti and the students of Mylan Park Elementary in May of 2021. It was made possible through the Stephen D. Tanner Children’s Enrichment Fund and the Your Community Foundation Grant.
