Chestnut Ridge Park and Campground is a picturesque park in the Appalachian Mountains outside of Morgantown, WV and adjacent to Coopers Rock State Forest. The park is open year round and offers 40 primitive tent sites, 12 RV sites (30amp, water, back in), and two fishing ponds. They also offer pavilion rentals for group events from spring to fall!

The park is county owned with fun for everyone including: camping, hiking, sledding, fishing, swimming, biking, geocaches, picnic areas, playgrounds, a summer concert series, and family activities year round.

At Chestnut Ridge Park, they strive to provide a high quality leisure experience through their areas, facilities and programs. They feel this helps to enhance visitors’ physical, mental and social well being. Their efforts will also focus on preserving an area of natural and historic value.

It’s the perfect place in summer, but winter brings tubing and sledding opportunities on their man-made sledding hill! So many updates are being made so stay tuned for Winter 2022!
